How nice would it be to find out you had a lot of money or even just a little bit of money just waiting for you to claim it?
Unfortunately I have never found any missing money but a lot of other people have.
There are a lot of people who have money being held and they don't even know it.
They may have moved and never recieved a tax refund, or opened a bank account and just forgot about it. They may have money coming from any number of sources including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, bank accounts, uncashed payroll checks, utility deposits, traveler’s checks, contents from deposit boxes, and more.
This is another one of those things where others try to cash in and sell you the information. They will take your money, find out all the states you have lived in and search for you or you can just do it yourself.
When you are searching make sure you check the states you lived in as you grew up and later. You might also check states where relatives live or have lived. Hopefully you will find some money but even if you don't you will still have a good time looking. It's kind of like a treasure hunt!
